From Thursday June 28 until Monday July 16, I'm going to be on vacation … in Alaska!
The wife and I will be spending the next two-plus weeks in the Last Frontier dogsledding, helicopter riding and rafting. This is one of those trips that you only get to make a couple of times in your life … so we're psyched.
We'll be taking the Alaska railroad for a week, spending time in Anchorage, Seward, Denali National Park and more.
I'm bringing along my video camera, so I'll hopefully be posting some videos shortly after we return. For a two-plus week trip, I'm sure we'll have plenty of footage!
I'm not bringing along my laptop or cell phone on this trip (only my little portable video/music player), so I will be completely disconnected from the world. That means no blogging. Sorry!
But look for some great content shortly after I return — I have some great stuff in store!

One of the reasons I champion online savings accounts is that they are one of the first steps to becoming financially aware.

As a retirement plan specialist a large part of my daily job is helping participants with their retirement plans. One of the most common reasons participants meet with me is because they need money and they are looking to take it out of their retirement plan. Unfortunately this conversation almost never goes over too well since they are usually upset with the fact that they cannot cash out their entire account or borrow from the company match money that hasn
