E-Loan Loosens Linked Account Policy, Sort Of

E-Loan, whose online savings account delivers a 5.25% APY, has updated their policy on changing external accounts linked to their OSA.

Before this enhancement, you could only change your external linked account four (4) times a year. Now, you may change it once every thirt (30) days. This allows you to change your external account up to twelve (12) times a year. We hope this feature makes your banking experience with E-LOAN even more convenient!

This is one of the slightly annoying things about E-Loan — you can only have one linked account. So to move money to a different online savings account — one that potentially has higher rates, like FNBO — you have to change your 1 linked account.

E-Loan also does not allow money to be withdrawn by an external bank, so any kind of transfer has to go through them first.

I currently have my money in E-Loan, but don't move it around that much, so it's not a huge deal. But at least they're making it a little easier to do so.
