Mobile banking is getting the backing of two of the biggest players in their respective industries: Bank of America and Verizon.

verizonmobilebanking.jpgVerizon's new Mobile Web 2.0 service allows Bank of America customers to log into their accounts to pay bills, transfer money, or just check on their transactions.

You can also find local Bank of America ATMs (a big helper) and even get directions. To log on to your account, look under the Money category.

Here's a demo of Verizon's Mobile Web service (warning: sound is on and loud).

The Mobile Web 2.0 service costs $5/per month, not including airtime. Bank of America doesn't charge anything for its mobile banking service.
